The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo

I finished The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo by Amy Schumer, a few days ago. It was a no-brainer to me. I’ve said it a hundred times before, I’ll say it again. I love autobiographies, and there is something about her that I have always enjoyed. Apparently, I triple booked my time for the last several days, and so I am extremely behind on getting this posted.

Schumer’s book was both funny and heart-breaking. It was raw, emotional, gut-wrenching, extremely funny and well crafted. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I wasn’t disappointed. I think what I loved the most about this book was how honest it felt. This whole book felt like I was sitting down to coffee with Amy and we were getting to know each other. She did all the talking, but I’m a great listener, so it worked. I don’t want to put this review off anymore. I know it is short, and quite a bit limited when compared to my other reviews. I just want others to know that it doesn’t get much more real than this, right here. I’d say give it a shot. I know I didn’t regret it one bit.
